This course will be taught via Zoom.

If you're a small business owner, bookkeeper, or payroll administrator, join us and learn the building blocks of proper payroll setup for W-2 employees. We'll cover the basics of a payroll system; federal and state payroll taxes; setting pay schedules and dates; creating paychecks with various types of compensation; adding other pay types (mileage, reimbursements, etc.); deductions from pay (benefits, garnishments, pay advances, etc.); set up of direct deposit; forms required for employee profiles; and adding historical payroll data and tax payments. We'll also discuss payments made to independent contractors reported on Form 1099-NEC, plus other tips and tricks to make implementation of an automated payroll system a smooth and successful process.
