Join us for a grounding in the historical, technical, and aesthetic dimensions of music in film. The focus will be on the musical score in dramatic and comedic films. We'll examine the many ways a composer prepares to score a film as well as the many uses of music for film. Ours will be an historical perspective as we trace the changes in film music from the days of silent cinema to the "way-out, a-go-go films" of today.
