Learn the basics of DSLR camera operation in this fast-paced, interactive course. We'll discuss camera controls, lenses, tripods, accessories, and photo composition. We'll also focus on manual exposure and the fundamentals of digital file management. A popular part of the course includes completing photo challenges and showing your work in class. This course is a hands-on visual learning experience that includes an internet-based class interaction application used for image posting and review, homework assignments, and general discussion.

There will be eight classroom sessions and one Saturday field trip (date TBD). No class on 9/28. For this course we recommend you have a digital SLR-type camera. This course includes out-of-class homework requiring access to a computer.
