This course answers countless questions for you and provides immediate clarity on what you should do now and next. Author and publisher Jody Dyer will explain how your ideas can become a physical reality—a published book. Topics will include idea development, content organization, brainstorming and writing methods, and how to avoid editors’ pet peeves. You’ll also learn about the different modern-day publishing avenues and their pros and cons. Jody will address publishing industry standards that every author must follow, the realities of the industry, and what to expect with expenses and earnings. No matter your genre, subject, or writing ability, you’ll leave with an achievable plan and supportive tools to help you realize your dream.
