This interactive course is designed to aid you in your transition to the role of supervisor. We’ll emphasize leadership, communication, and the writing skills necessary to deal with the new challenges associated with a supervisory position.

Tammie Smeltzer is a training specialist at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base near Knoxville and oversees a team of military and civilian personnel that develops curriculum in traditional classroom, online learning, and blended formats. She has worked more than 20 years in adult education. Smeltzer is also a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant with more than 20 years of service. Aside from teaching, she enjoys serving as vice president of the East Tennessee Military Association (ETMA) Credit Union. She holds a master's degree in adult education.
